A series from the Biedermeier period, that established itself as the preferred choice of the German gentry. The angular flat cut is made with a range of horizontal grinding wheels, which creates the well-defined, straight edges. Finally the surface of the cut glass is polished by hand. The design dates back to the 1840s and was made by Wilhelm Steigerwald.
